Hampton Bays Middle School is pleased to announce that 11 seventh and eighth grade students have been named members of the school’s Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter. The induction ceremony, originally scheduled for April 1, has been postponed due to the COVID-19-related school closures.

To earn the honor, the students were required to maintain a GPA of 85 or above in all their classes and a 90 average in all music classes, perform 15 hours of community service and attend various music-related events throughout the school year.

The Hampton Bays School District congratulates the newest Tri-M members: Alexa Bahamondes, Ava Courtenay, Sofia Galvan, Valeria Gamboa, Emma Halsey, Emily Malone, Leah Bella Orlando, Joffre Proano, Kaya Raynor, Ashley Rodriguez and Jessica Sequeira.

The district would also like to acknowledge the existing members and officers of the chapter who continue to serve: Emily Robinson, president; Maya Sanabria, vice president; Nellie Nicolova, secretary; Rieve Nydegger, treasurer; Samantha Kraycar, historian; and members Allison Booth, Dylan Foley, Madelyn Helfand and Michael Poremba.
