Eric Ferraro Welcomed as New Assistant Principal
The Hampton Bays School District has appointed Eric Ferraro as the new assistant principal at Hampton Bays High School, replacing Anthony DeBlasio, who was named assistant principal at the middle school. Mr. Ferraro began his tenure in Hampton Bays during the last week of August.
Familiar with the East End, Mr. Ferraro joins the district from East Hampton High School, where he worked as dean of students, English department coordinator and English teacher. As an English teacher, he taught Advanced Placement and honors courses in English and literature, as well as a journalism class.
“I am very excited to join the staff of a school that is known for its academic excellence and collaborative climate,” said Mr. Ferraro. “I am looking forward to working to best meet the needs of the students of Hampton Bays. I believe the high school years to be most essential to the social, emotional and academic growth of students.”
Mr. Ferraro holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Stony Brook University with a concentration in both American and British literature. He also holds a master’s degree in secondary education in English and School Building Leader certification.
