Not only was this year's homecoming the first night game in Baymen history, the Hampton Bays varsity football team also soundly trounced Stony Brook on Oct. 18 under the new lights on the football field. The Baymen took home a 63-7 victory against the Seawolves.

A few of the highlights included Taylor Catz, who ran for 165 yards, tying the school record with five touchdowns; Ryan Palazzolo, who ran 63 yards during a punt return and scored a touchdown; Josue Monroy, who ran for 69 yards, scored a touchdown and kicked 7 extra points; and Robert Yates, who rushed for 35 yards and scored a touchdown. Joe Veeck made eight tackles, and Eric Ramirez and Thomas Tretola each sacked Stony Brook's quarterback.

To prepare for the homecoming game, the school hosted its annual pep rally and bonfire the previous evening.
