As part of the annual Harvest Games at Hampton Bays Middle School, students donated nonperishable food items, socks, and made monetary donations. The event was co-sponsored by the Student Council, their advisors Toni Dossiano and Helen Schottenhamel, and the PTO. The combined efforts accounted for over 800 items of food for the Hampton Bays Food Pantry, 194 pairs of new socks for the "Socks for the Homeless" campaign, and $295 for the future purchase of additional socks.

The Harvest Games is an event that helps students gain an understanding of the importance of working together toward a common goal. It also builds in students a spirit of teamwork and cooperation in contributing to the community.
