The annual “Hampton Bays Senior Dinner” was a success again this year, with approximately 100 senior citizens turning out for the December 20 event, held at the Hampton Bays High School cafeteria.

The dinner, sponsored by the Hampton Bays High School Student Council and funded by the Hampton Bays Teacher Association, is an important gathering that cements the connection between area seniors and students. According to Student Council Advisor Eleni Fotopoulos, there were many familiar faces present this year, plus a few new ones, too.

On the menu for the evening was penne pasta with meatballs, salad, dessert and coffee. Seniors were also invited to stay and enjoy a winter concert by the Hampton Bays High School chorus and band members.

Student Taylor DeBenedetto took time out of her busy schedule to help with setup and a bit of serving before she had to go practice for the concert. Other preparation assistance came from front office members Lisa Kling, Kathleen Young and Lucille McCormick, in addition to the guiding hand of Ms. Fotopoulos.
