‘Shrek’ Stages at HBHS

“Shrek the Musical” was recently staged by the Hampton Bays High School Thespian Society to capacity crowds and much acclaim. The entertaining comedy set in Duloc wowed fans during its three-day run from April 4-6.

The stage play, written for young and old audiences alike, tells the tale of unconditional love and acceptance for all. The Hamptons Bays show starred Shane Courtenay as Shrek, Mackenzie Engeldrum as Fiona, Noah Montague as Donkey and Thomas Capuano as Lord Farquaad. Also starring in the show were: Taylor Dunn, Devyn Elliston, Daniella Greene, Adem Hadrovic, Sarah Jiudice, Nicholas Kolb, Franklin Krzyewski, Stacey Lattimore, Valerie Moshier, Kat O’Gara, Alexandra Peterson, Saul Rojas, Giancarlo Ruiz, Mikela Ryan, Gioia Sacco, Juliana Sanchez, Gadge Schwahl, Lily Spellman, Julia Tetrault and Olivia Terry.

Tim Berglin, Ross Hamilton, Alec Kozuchowski and Charlie Schneider made up the tech crew, while Jennifer Alvarez, Julia Dzakonski, Vanessa Farrell, Liam O’Rourke and John Perez comprised the stage crew. Debra Liso directed the production and the Hampton Bays pit band performed the music.
