Christen Bellucci and Daniella Greene have been named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the Hampton Bays Class of 2014. The seniors were recognized for their outstanding scholarship by Hampton Bays High School Principal Christopher Richardt during the April 8 Board of Education meeting.

Bellucci is graduating with a weighted GPA of 105.6. She plans on attending the University of Connecticut and majoring in biology. At Hampton Bays, her competitive course of study includes: AP World History, U.S. History, Physics, English Literature, English Language and Composition, Biology, Calculus AB and Calculus BC. She is a member of the National Honor Society and co-president of Student Council and the Hampton Bays High School chapter of SADD. Bellucci is also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, symphonic band, robotics and math teams. She led the varsity volleyball team as captain this year.

Greene is graduating with a weighted GPA of 104.55. She is currently weighing her options for college and plans on pursuing a career in music. The accomplished musician has achieved recognition at HMEA, NYSCAME, LISFA and NYSSMA. In 2012, Greene participated in the New York All-State Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with the SUNY Stony Brook Orchestra as a soloist. Her competitive course of study includes nine Advanced Placement courses. Greene’s co-curriculars include the National Honor Society, Hampton Bays Thespian Society, band, chorus, and the robotics and math teams.
