Members of the Hampton Bays High School Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) group recently attended the 29th Annual I.S.S.U.E. (Issues of Social Significance Understood and Evaluated) Conference at Hofstra University. Sponsored by the Northport High School L.E.A.D. program, the S.A.D.D. members listened to guest speakers whose presentation topics included bullying, alcohol and other drugs, teen suicide, coping and tolerance. As a follow-up to the program, the students who attended the conference discussed the topics in their health education classes.
