High school senior Sarah Jiudice has been named as a 2015 National Elks Club top female Most Valuable Student. The prestigious recognition has earned her a first-place $50,000 college scholarship.

To earn the Elks scholarship, Sarah was required to submit an application and advance through local, district, state and national judging. At the national level, she was required to attend a leadership weekend in Chicago, where she competed against 20 top finalists from around the country.

Sarah has also recently been named the Class of 2015 salutatorian and has a number of academic accomplishments under her belt. She is an AP Scholar with honors and an All-County academic scholar for basketball. She plays three varsity sports — soccer, basketball and softball — and is a member of her school’s Student Council and Key Club.

Sarah plans to attend UCLA in the fall and study biology with a focus on pre-med.
