As part of a writing lesson focusing on handwriting skills, elementary school first-graders in Mr. Jonathan DellaSperanza’s class filled out “elf job applications.”  

As part of the lesson, students learned that Santa was hiring elves in a note left for them by classroom elves, Wink and Merry. The note indicated that positions were open in various departments within Santa’s workshop, including job opportunities in the bake and toyshops and wrapping department. Each student then filled out “elf applications” using their best handwriting skills.  

“The students hope to be hired by Santa and are waiting to hear back,” said Mr. DellaSperanza.
