Hundreds of Hampton Bays community residents turned out for the annual Community Pride Day on Saturday, May 12.

The daylong event was kicked off in style as runners took their marks for the 5K race. The festivities continued with bouncy rides that included a giant ball toss game, inflatable slides, and a blow-up obstacle course; live music; the perennially favorite dunk tank, staffed by Hampton Bays administrators; and a football agility course.

There were also a number of items for sale by local merchants and vendors, as well as food and refreshments. The Hampton Bays PTA was on site, as were members of the Hampton Bays Robotics Club and their basketball shooting robot, volunteers for the Hampton Bays Middle School Memorial Garden, and the Hampton Bays Football and Cheerleading clubs. Also represented were members of the local chapter of the Boy Scouts, animals from a petting zoo, and adoptable pets.
