Members of the Hampton Bays High School Band and Chorus received the opportunity of a lifetime during midwinter recess in February when they played at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

The band and chorus were invited to perform at Walt Disney World after completing a “Disney Magic Days” application and sending along taped audition performances. After making the grade, the band and chorus played “The Winners Circle” in formal black clothes and also in Hampton Bays’ signature purple robes.

As performers at the famous American resort, and home of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the 105 student band and chorus members were deemed “honorary Disney cast members,” according to Hampton Bays High School Band Director Jenn Halsey. She added that all of the students and each of the 12 chaperones in attendance thoroughly enjoyed their trip to “the greatest place on Earth.”
