Hampton Bays High School Science Research students presented their scientific findings at the school’s fifth annual Science Research Symposium on April 17. 

The 21 students, who are all enrolled in the high school’s Science Research program, spent as many as four years working on their research projects. Topics included the alpha-gal allergy, immune systems, malignant mesothelioma, the flu, coronary artery disease and cognitive skills.

The Hampton Bays School District extends its congratulations to the following student presenters: freshmen Aliyah Cukaj, Kristina George, Ryan Hughes, Evan Kuffner, Sofia Lauther and Lily Simpson-Heavey; sophomores David Catena, Tara Lauther, Shaina Pierce, Dulce Pina, Katerina Reich and Saorla Scully; juniors Lily Candelaria, Elisabeth Daniels, Skye McMorris and Riley Stotzky; and seniors Ava Bianchi, Mecca Brook, Christina Coultron, Maryrose O’Connell and Jared Strecker.
