Mission:
• To support and speak on the behalf of children and youth in schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
Sponsored Events:
Some of our PTA Sponsored Events...
• Book Fair: Two Book Fairs are held each year. The October Fair is open to parents at Open House. Volunteers are needed during school and evening hours. The second fair is held the end of April and volunteers are needed during school hours only.
• Art Show: A school-wide exhibition is held in May. Volunteers are needed to mat, hang and take down the student’s artwork during school and evening hours.
• Yearbook: Yearbook volunteers actually create the yearbook. Tasks include: taking and collecting pictures, arranging them, laying out the book, pre-selling and distributing the yearbook.
• Thanksgiving Food Drive: Volunteers are needed to collect, sort and deliver holiday food baskets.
• PARP (Parents As Reading Partners): A themed reading program geared to get families reading together. A fun and educational program that supports “family” reading time.
• Reflections: An Arts Program. Volunteers are needed to collect/display works of art.
