Transportation
New York State Education Law mandates that a school district must provide transportation for children in grades K-8 residing two or more miles from school and for students in grades 9-12 residing three or more miles from school.
The Hampton Bays School Board, under a voter-approved proposition, provides transportation to and from school for students in grades 1-12 who live more than one mile from school. All kindergarten students are provided with transportation.
Buses for the Hampton Bays Schools are contracted through Montauk Bus Co.
