Cheer for a Cure Raises Over $5K
The junior varsity and varsity cheerleading squads raised more than $5,700 for epidermolysis bullosa research at their 2015 Cheer for a Cure event on Feb. 7.
The annual event brought together 350 cheerleaders from 19 teams throughout Suffolk County, all of whom performed for a packed house in the Hampton Bays Middle School gymnasium.
“This was an amazing event that took a lot of hard work and time to organize,” said Drew Walker, the district’s director of health, physical education and athletics. “Great job to the teams, and congratulations.”
