Hampton Bays Life Skills students recently attended the annual Surfers Healing event at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays. This is the second time that students had the opportunity to spend an enjoyable day learning to swim, surf and cheer on their friends as they learned to ride the waves. Also participating in the event were volunteer members of the high school’s volleyball team and varsity club. Surfers Healing uses the power of the ocean and surfing to create experiences that help enrich the lives of children with disabilities.
