A total of 250 Hampton Bays Elementary School students were recently celebrated for completing a collaborative summer reading program between the Hampton Bays School District and the Hampton Bays Public Library. For finishing the program, the students were awarded prizes by the library, the Hampton Bays Elementary School PTA and local businesses, including Hampton Coffee, Scotto’s Pizza and Gemelli Gelato. The new program aims to foster a genuine, lifelong love of libraries and reading through student choice, community support and the joy of discovery. The program also familiarizes families with programs and services offered at the library.
