The Hampton Bays High School robotics team, the BayBots, recently showcased their ingenuity and teamwork at the FIRST Long Island Regional competition at Hofstra University, where robotics teams put their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test.

Prior to the competition, the team met after school to design, construct and program their robot following this year’s competition guidelines. Throughout the process, they worked continually to refine and improve their robot’s performance.

The team also displayed their robot at the elementary school’s annual STEAM Night.
