Hampton Bays Elementary School students were recently introduced to several new animal friends during a special visit from the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. The presentation focused on how the refuge cares for its animals and provides them with safe, healthy environments. Students learned about the animals’ natural habitats, the types of food they eat and the important role each species plays in the environment. They also had the opportunity to pet the wildlife, including a snake.
