For the first time since 2020, the Hampton Bays High School competitive cheerleading team has advanced post-season and qualified for the 2024 Suffolk County Championship on Feb. 17. Hampton Bays is also the only team on the South Fork to represent competitive cheerleading at this level.

The Hampton Bays cheer team is led by senior captains Elise Flynn, Allie O'Brien and Maria Recarte and includes two returning leaders from last year, Eden Spellman and Maddie Warn. Other high schoolers on the team include Diana Heming, Emily Lucero, Kiarra O'Hagan and Aoife Sheil. Daniela Gomez, Maya Grieco, Sophia Mazzaraco and Gwyn Reilly were all pulled up to varsity from the middle school team to complete the 2023-2024 roster.
