National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organization that recognizes outstanding Middle School students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. The standards for selection are established by the National Junior Honor Society of the United States and by the Hampton Bays Middle School by-laws. Participation in NJHS is by selection process.

NJHS applications will be distributed to qualified 7th and 8th grade students at the beginning of each school year. In order to qualify, students must maintain a 92 cumulative GPA average for 6th and 7th grade. It is also recommended that students receive a letter of recommendation from a community member and complete at least 5 hours of community service before applying.
