Continuing its longstanding tradition of welcoming and inclusiveness, Hampton Bays Elementary School hosted its 10th annual ESL/Bilingual Dinner on Feb. 27. The evening of communal dining and entertainment was hosted by the elementary school’s bilingual and ESL teachers.

The festivities began with a spirited performance by Banda Naciona de Mexico and the E Kids Dancers. The evening included plenty of food, supplied by the students and their families from their native lands. The ethnic origins of the delicacies included Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Korea, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico and Spain. Languages spoken by ESL and bilingual students at Hampton Bays include Chinese, French, Korean, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.
