Principal's Corner

Dear Students, Parents and Community Members,

Our goal at Hampton Bays High School is to provide every student with an outstanding educational experience.  In order to accomplish this goal we have created a diverse landscape of academic, athletic and co-curricular activities in which our students can display and build their distinctive talents.  Our academic program continues to grow and now includes 14 Advanced Placement courses, articulation agreements with Suffolk Community College, SUNY Farmingdale and the University at Albany, a fully implemented Science Research program, comprehensive special education services and meaningful reading interventions.  In addition, during the 2017-2018 school year we will offer 20 co-curricular activities and over 30 athletic teams.

While the examples listed above are notable components of the high school program, perhaps what is most impressive is the high quality instruction delivered by our faculty on a daily basis.  As in the past, the high school teaching team remains committed to student development and achievement.  This year we will be continuing our advisory efforts, providing each student with a faculty advocate that will guide them through their academic experience at Hampton Bays High School.

Please visit our website for information about activities and events at the high school as we look forward to another great year of successful partnership with the families that make Hampton Bays a great place to live and learn.

Sincerely,

Christopher Richardt
Principal
