Through the Junior Achievement program, students at Hampton Bays Elementary School are gaining valuable economic skills through grade-appropriate lessons voluntarily taught by New York Community Bank employees.

As an example, the program enabled second grade students to explore various careers in the community and learn new vocabulary words like wants, needs, goods and services. The lessons rounded out with the students creating a “pizza business.”
