Three Hampton Bays High School students have earned recognition in the VFW’s annual Voice of Democracy essay contest. Junior Olivia Allen’s essay placed third in Suffolk County and seniors Emily Barnes and Benjamin Spellman won on the local level. All three essays addressed the question, “What are the greatest attributes of our democracy? The Hampton Bays School District extends its congratulations to the essayists.
