For the past several weeks, Hampton Bays Elementary School third grade students in Nicole Neroulas’ class have been observing Jackie and Shadow, an eagle pair from Big Bear Valley, California, through a live cam run by Friends of Big Bear Valley. From their observations and research, the students wrote and published opinion pieces on why Jackie and Shadow are great parents. They also sketched the eagles and their nest.
