Continuing its mission to foster a culture of kindness, Hampton Bays Middle School recently celebrated its eighth annual P.S. I Love You Day Week with a culminating celebration on Feb. 13. The week aimed to raise awareness about bullying and suicide while promoting kindness.

Students embraced the theme by showing kindness to their peers throughout the week through a variety of activities. They wrote messages of how they can show kindness on Post-it notes that are displayed throughout the school and took part in a No One Eats Alone Day. They also wore purple and posed for photos in a balloon arch donated by Victoria Flowers and Balloons in Hampton Bays. Additionally, they raised funds for OLA of Eastern Long Island through sales of P.S. I Love You Day stickers, “Kisses for kindness” and love beads.
