Two Hampton Bays High School juniors have been selected to participate in the highly competitive New York State Band Directors Association Honors Symposium, to be held in Syracuse from March 6-8. The prestigious event brings together the top student-musicians from across New York State, with selections based on exceptional NYSSMA scores and rigorous auditions.

Willem Sarkis (bassoon) will perform with the Honor Band for the second consecutive year, and Nathan Kearns (bass guitar) has been selected for the Honor Jazz Band, making him the first student in Hampton Bays history to earn a place in the elite ensemble.

The Hampton Bays School District extends its congratulations to both students for their hard work and dedication to music.
