Hampton Bays Middle School proudly recognized student achievement and character at a recent “Rise to the Challenge” awards ceremony. During the event, students were presented with character awards for ambition, determination, inspiration, resilience, triumph and synergy. Several students also earned i-Ready Certificates of Growth for their impressive achievements on the i-Ready assessments in reading and mathematics. Fifth and sixth grade students who participated in the Hampton Bays Fire Department’s fire prevention poster contest were also recognized, along with seventh and eighth graders who penned essays about fire prevention awareness for the department’s annual essay contest.
